An interesting exhibition presented by Frigiliana Camera Club, from 31 March until 25 April - Casa del Apero.

A day to celebrate the last working sugar cane factory in Europe. There will be guided walks around the factory, samples of delicious food made with the mosasses, traditional dance and music - and tasty menus del día at a number of restaurants in the village.
Activities begin at 11.30 am with the first guided walk starting at 12 noon.

Well what can I say - it's about time!!! We've been waiting months, if not years, for the tourist website to be published in English and German.Hoorah!

On Sunday 24 November there will be an organised walk to the summit of Cerro Lopera (1485m above sea level).

Departure for the walk is at 8am. With some luck you may spot deer, wild boar, birds of prey and the ubiquitous mountain goat. Once you reach the summit you will enjoy incredible views - Navachica, Cabaneros, Rio Verde, Cerro Lucero and the coast of Granada.

The return will be on a different route through the  Flea Fountain, Mirador del Pino of the Five Branches and finally again reaching the Llanos de Lopera.

Great to see Frigiliana is being featured in the latest tourism TV commercial for the Costa del Sol, representing the white villages - the production team will be filming this week.

There's a new exhibition at El Apero from 3 to 29 November. "From pain to joy" by Arja Linteri. According to Arja, nudity symbolizes humility and recognition of the own imperfection and hopes that his paintings have a liberating effect among its viewers.

The voices of the books is a group of friends infected by the virus of reading and they want to convey to others their healthy passion. They are convinced that the book is one of the most amazing human inventions and that reading is an act of subversion and resistance.

A free event - which I feel will be very interesting.
