 Summer School starts at Bel-lingua Language School tomorrow, Monday 1 July, for five weeks. There will be three, one hour sessions, a day for children from 4 to 14 years. The activities and games will have a circus theme and set to follow the guidelines of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

 The swimming pool has re-opened and it looks fanastic! Lots more space to take in the sun; super new toilets and showers; disabled access and green, green astroturf.
 The cinema forum starts again on Thursday 27 June, this time it is aimed at the younger members of the family. It is an amimated film, in Spanish, about a young boy and his battle with the local witch. Instead of violence he uses cunning and intelligence.
 Well once again the Town Hall has excelled itself and left it until today - three days before the Feria - to produce a programme. Apologies to all our potential visitors to the village - especially those who can't understand Spanish!!
The programme (Spanish) is available on the Town Hall´s website. Friday 14 June - for me a day not to miss. At around 5pm the children of the barrio of San Antonio gather to participate in a variety of races, including the famous "Bicyle egg race". When all the races are over the car park becomes a fantastic foam party for all the children (and their grannies!) Not to be missed!  The Rioja artist based in Velez, Maria del Carmen Viguera, will be displaying her paintings at the exhibition room, la Casa del Apero, from 1 - 30 June.
